Richard Jenkins

Richard Jenkins has been associated with MSA and it’s predecessor organisations since 1988. He was the National Coordinator of the MTIA/MTFU National Career Development Project from 1988 -1991 and participated in the Metal Industry Mission to the UK, Sweden and West Germany that produced the historic Towards a New Metal Industry Award report. From 1991 -1999 he was the national Manager of Training Policy for MTIA and a member of the MERSITAB Board for many years.

From 1999 to the present Richard has run his own consulting business specialising in vocational training. He undertook numerous projects for MSA including a complete review of the Metal and Engineering Training Package in 2005, a review of all MEM Technician qualifications in 2011 and was project manager and joint writer for the initial development of the Competitive Manufacturing qualifications and Sustainability qualifications (2004)  and also for the 2010 review that resulted in the Competitive Systems and Practices qualifications.

He has also conducted reviews of the TCF and Food Processing Training Packages as well developing qualifications for the Furnishing and Health Training Packages and managed the development of subject resources for a Bachelor of Manufacturing Management for a regional university. He has also undertaken many VET related projects for enterprises and industry associations.

Richard has a Bachelor of Arts (Communications) degree,  a Graduate Diploma in Business (Industrial Relations) and a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.
